McDonald's is a multinational fast food company.

Foundation

The McDonald siblings, Richard and Maurice, opened the first McDonald's restaurant on May 15, 1940, in San Bernardino, California.

Takeover by Ray Kroc

Seven McDonald's restaurants were opened before Ray Kroc opened a McDonald's franchise on April 15, 1955.

Ray Kroc and the McDonald brothers fought for control of the company until 1961, when Kroc purchased their equity in the company, after which the former expanded the company into restaurants worldwide.
