2013 | 2018 | It was in various stages of development by five different developers: 1.) Sierra's Roberta Williams brainstormed ideas for a King's Quest 9, that had an elderly King Graham, in 1998. The above came from an interview with Talkspot in 1998. Sierra never entered production on King's Quest 9. 2.) Vivendi Universal made a King's Quest game between 2001 and 2002, with a protagonist capable of jumping. The above came from two leaked screenshots from an early prototype. It was never officially announced. 3.) Silicon Knights developed a King's Quest game in which the story, art style, and genre are not publicly known. It was never announced, but was revealed in 2011 in papers from the Silicon Knights lawsuit against Epic Games. 4.) Telltale Games officially announced an episodic King's Quest game in 2011, however it was canceled in 2013. The above was canceled as the rights returned to Activision, who stated they had plans for a King's Quest sequel. 5.) The Odd Gentlemen released a King's Quest game in five episodes and a playable epilogue in 2015 and 2016. It shares from the above.
