Haruka Sawamura (澤村遥, Sawamura Haruka) is a character that is part of a multimedia series consisting of video games, films, comics, and music.
Haruka Sawamura is a non-playable character in most games in the Like a Dragon series, but becomes a playable character in Yakuza 5. In that game, a Hatsune Miku costume can be acquired that Haruka can wear.
Haruka's likeness was used to portray a character, also named Haruka, in the March 2008 issue of Kamutai Magazine. Haruka's likeness and voice actor were used to portray the aforementioned character in Like a Dragon: Kenzan!, as well as another character named Haruka in Like a Dragon: Ishin!.
Fictional character biography
Haruka Sawamura was orphaned at a young age.
After coming out of prison, Kazuma Kiryu was no longer a yakuza, but got pulled back in after rescuing Haruka, who was the daughter of his love interest.
The yakuza who raised Kiryu was killed, and Kiryu was named the fifth chairman of the Tojo Clan.
However, after Haruka's mom was killed, Kiryu left the yakuza permanently.
Kiryu raised Haruka as his own daughter, along with other children, at the Morning Glory Orphanage.
Haruka left the orphanage to become a singer and an idol, but she left her career after she revealed she was raised by a yakuza.
She became a mother shortly after that.
