Bomber Man (ボンバーマン, Bonbā Man) was the third Bomberman video game. It was developed and published by Hudson Soft for the Nintendo Family Computer, or Famicom, video game console on December 20, 1985 in Japan. It was a refinement of Hudson Soft's original Bomber Man, which was released for multiple home computer platforms in Japan in 1983 and as Eric and the Floaters in the United Kingdom in 1984.
It proved popular, and was subsequently converted by Hudson Soft as Bomber Man Special (ボンバーマン スペシャル, Bonbā Man Supesharu) to the MSX computer standard in 1986 in Japan.
In January 1989, Hudson Soft published it as Bomberman on the Nintendo Entertainment System, the international edition of the Family Computer, in the United States of America.
