Nintendo Super System was an arcade hardware platform with interchangeable program boards that was designed by Nintendo Research & Development.

The Nintendo Super System was preceded by the PlayChoice-10, which was based on the Nintendo Entertainment System, from 1986 to 1991.

It was succeeded by a similar pay-to-play system for hotel rooms in Japan known as the Super Famicom Box, which was produced from 1991 to 1994.
