'Panasonic Holdings Corporation is a Japanese multinational conglomerate.

Matsushita Electric Industrial

'Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. was founded by Kōnosuke Matsushita in 1918.

In May 1985, a consortium of companies led by Matsushita released the 3-inch Compact Floppy Disk, or CF-2.

Panasonic Corporation

The name was changed to Panasonic Corporation in 2008, to match the brand name the company had been using in the United States since 1961 and in Europe since 1979.

Panasonic Holdings Corporation

The name was changed to Panasonic Holdings Corporation in 2022.
