An Italian plumber named Mario travels to Delfino Island with Princess Peach.

However, upon arriving, they discover that a doppelganger of Mario covered the island in paint.

Mario is punished by the islanders to act as a janitor, cleaning up the paint with water using a device called FLUDD.

Versions of the game

It was first released for GameCube in 2002.

It was re-released through emulation in a bundle with Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Galaxy titled Super Mario 3D All-Stars for Nintendo Switch in 2020.
