Micon-Kit (ミコンキット, Maikon Kitto), also known as Micon-Block (ミコンブロック, Maikon Burokku) in its upright release or Table Micon (テーブルマイコン, Tēburu Maikon) in its cocktail table version, was an arcade video game that was a Breakout clone. Released in April 1978, it was the first game by Shin Nihon Kikaku.
The name Micon Kit is a shortened version of the Japanese pronunciation of "microcomputer kit".
Legacy
The same year, Micon Kit was followed by Micon-Kit Part II, in which the titular battleship from the manga Space Battleship Yamato appeared. In 1979 a final game, Micon-Kit Part III, also known as Space Micon-Kit was released.
