What If...? is a computer animated television series by Marvel Animation. It is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It is the first television series in the What If series.

It was the fourth television series developed for the post-Marvel Television Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Episodes

Season one was to consist of ten episodes, but it was reduced to nine following animation studio closures due to COVID-19. The first episode aired on Disney+ on August 11, 2021. Eight episodes followed each week from August 18 to October 6.

Season two consisted of nine episodes that aired daily from December 22 to December 30, 2023.

The third and final season consisted of eight episodes that aired daily from December 22 to December 29, 2024.

Legacy

A mixed reality video game titled What If...? – An Immersive Story was co-produced by Marvel Studios, ILM Immersive, and Apple for the Apple Vision Pro in 2024.

What If...? was followed by a sequel series, Marvel Zombies, which premiered in 2025.
